Obama's Progressing of the State of the Union Agenda

In this year's State of the Union address President Obama called for creating clean-energy initiatives, increases in research and development in industry and telecommunication innovation. He has began his tour around the nation, this week meeting with technological giants like Steve Jobs of Apple, Eric Schmidt of Google and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook to discuss the future ofthese companies. (BTW - some say that Obama is working with them to develop a kill switch for the internet - probable or not, believe what you want). He is also boosting his image by being present at the opening of a new Intel manufacturing center, talking of the jobs this gives people. This still does not help the other few MILLION people unemployed...... And with Obama pushing clean initiatives, companies will be pressured to leave by new taxes, controlling legislation and other 'green' excuses. But that is for the next post.

President Obama is still campaigning to the American people an unwanted agenda that is wasting money. With his working true to his word, our country is continuing to spiral downward.

The Dream Act Controversy

Last Christmas the Obama administration passed the crippling Obamacare health system, which increased our debts and continuously threatens our future. This holiday season, President Obama and the lame duck Liberal Democrat Congress will push to pass the Dream Act, going against the Fourth Amendment and many others to allow for illegal aliens to gain citizenship. This passing will pressure welfare, creating incentive for many more illegals to invade our country and create further imbalance in our already crumbling nation.

The Dream Act basically proposes to grant young illegal aliens citizenship, so long as they attend college or go into the military... yet look into how the illegal issue is currently handled. The 'No Child Left Behind' program displays how a required school attendance is being ignored by the illegal immigrants who come here. Any military attendance is welcome to illegals, I agree with this, but there should be no effort to teach illegals English or tutor them to get into the military - they should have all of the abilities of American soldiers before entering military service.

As for the allowance of pre-teenagers to have citizenship, I disagree with this. If you are born to parents who are illegal, then you should be illegal - regardless of whether or not you are born on this soil. Although there is legislation passed in prior history to protect people against ridicule like my own and to maintain their legal status upon birth, there are currently illegals who are 'citizens' and yet are on welfare. Children and teenagers brought across the border will gain citizen status, regardless of education level, class or illegal status.

This Dream Act will be blamed upon the Republicans who will gain Congressional offices in January, upon the failure of this program or on the further degredation of society caused by this legislation. The political mudslinging that will occur may or may not be seen for what it is, most likely not by our current generation.

Hopefully, the Democratic party soon to be out of Congress shall fail, as they should due to their being voted out. There is a reason why they have been voted out - because of failed legislation like this that threatens our nation.

Bush Tax Cut Extension and Benefits

Coming up for January is the expiration of the Bush-era Tax Cuts. Many people do not understand the controversy behind this. Do you like your money being taken away from you by the government, especially one which re-invests your money in political schemes? During the presidency of George Bush Jr. there was a tax cut bill signed in 2004.

The benefits of any tax cuts are great; the basic principle of you being able to keep your money is good. We already give over 50% of our profits to our government - we deserve to regain some of that money. Another benefit is that we can personally spend that money, taking it to the free market instead of allowing the government to spread that money to its political infrastructure. Thirdly, the combination of these two ideas allows for an unstable economy (or a 'certain one' in a depression...) to begin to have more money to regrow.

Now for the political aspect... the Obama administration wishes to milk our country of all of its wealth to redistribute it to pet projects, unions and supporting officials. If Obama does not pass a measure to continue this legislation, then taxpayers will feel Obama's taxation even more so. We do not want Obama to create legislation like this tax break bill, because he will most likely not read it like the Socialized Obamacare bill and have loopholes and earmarks in whatever he creates.

These tax breaks could help our country, in relation to how horrible our economy currently is. We need the extra money, and less taxable profits that can be wasted on things like Obamacare and the Dream Act - (see next post)...... Pray for these tax cuts!
